I don’t have a credit card, or don’t want to use my credit card online, can I still make a purchase ?
A) YES. Please go ahead and make your order, selecting payment option as OFFLINE. Our banking details will appear here for direct deposit or EFT, alternatively you can post a cheque or money order to AACASA, PO BOX 1319, MILTON QLD 4064. Orders will be sent on receipt of payment only.
Do I have to be a member to shop online in AFRALIA ?
A) No, our online shop is open to the public, everyone is welcome to buy our products and support the work of organisations doing wonderful things in Ethiopia.
How are my goods posted?
A) Generally we try and use Australia Post parcel sachets, 500gm, 3kg, 3 kg express and 5 kg express for items that will fit into bags. Sometimes they are boxed and then bagged.
Generally this is the cheapest method because sending goods by bags they are charged by weight, sending goods in a box is charged by cubic weight (often much more than actual weight). We always strive to find the best rate of shipping whilst protecting your goods.
Are you FAIR TRADE ?
A) Yes ! We are not manufacturers, producers ( so are not certified) etc but our products are bought from groups or businesses who practice Fair Trade principles and ethics. As we are supporting the poor directly and indirectly, we are acutely aware of the living conditions artists and workers often endure and choose products and businesses that support the principles of Fair Trade. Many of our members are also involved in a variety of projects in Ethiopia, all related to development, supporting vulnerable peoples, education and supporting income generating projects.
Do you ship world wide ?
A) Yes we can and do send orders all over the world. Goods are sent standard airmail unless you contact us to arrange an alternate method. International postage is quite expensive, which is why we have opted to stay with standard airmail.
What is the Private arrangement/collection in the shipping option ?
A) This is a service we sometimes provide for our AACASA Members. If we are having a group gathering, sometimes orders are sent to one person to distribute and our members can save the postage cost on their order. This option may be used if special freight is required or customers request an alternate method of shipping ( but they will need to CONTACT US to arrange alternatives)
